EAW supports permanent installation markets around the world, assisting with installations in diverse locations, including (but not limited to): Houses of Worship, stadia, theaters of all kinds, live music clubs, dance clubs, hotels and theme parks.
Many permanent installation applications require that loudspeakers and other equipment remain outdoors permanently. EAW’s (WP) Waterproofing process is proven on a daily basis in some of the harshest climates on earth. We believe in it so much that the innovative line source in the Philadelphia Eagles’ new stadium also serves as a gutter, channeling rainwater to stadium drains.
Product Design Considerations
EAW Engineering takes great care in designing installation-oriented loudspeaker systems. For example, they seek to locate threaded mounting points on the center of balance for easier aiming. For the QX Series, we worked with Ape Rigging to create an elegant solution that allows precision aiming by turning threaded rods, although many designers and contractors prefer to design their own custom (bespoke) rigging.
Core EAW intstallation products comprise series of products that share a single enclosure size. EAW engineers then design a series of HF or MF/HF horns that deliver a range of coverage patterns. Often, subwoofers will share one or more dimensions, giving arrays an attractive, integrated appearance. Some product series like the MK Series offer multiple sizes to accomodate a choice of LF transducers. But even in the case of the MK Series, almost all products are 30-in tall, matching the SBK Series subwoofer.
Supporting the System Designer
EAW maintains a collection of product documentation, including EASE files, stored on the EAW “Docs” website. In addition to EASE files, designers can find the latest data sheets, 2D drawings, 3D drawing, photos and other support materials.
ASG works with consultants, designers, contractors and venue owners to help improve understanding of acoustical concerns and suggest EAW loudspeaker systems that will meet each venue’s specific needs.
