Engineers Working from Home

COVID-19 Update

At Eastern Acoustic Works, our priority is the well-being of our customers, employees, and communities. Yesterday, Massachusetts state Governor Baker issued a stay-at-home advisory effective today, March 24th, through noon April 7th. In compliance with the advisory and in the interest of protecting the vulnerable in our communities, EAW’s offices in Whitinsville, MA are fully closed and all employees are working remote.

This will not impact our ability to support you!

Most of the people that you regularly interact with have already been supporting you from their homes. EAW implemented a Smart Work strategy on Tuesday of last week. Smart Work means that any employee that does not need to be in the office to do their job was asked to work from home. We had a week to test our remote IT systems and to verify that phones are forwarding as designed. Please continue to use the emails and phone numbers you have been using.
In addition, our US warehouse and Service Center are also in states with stay at home advisories. Both organizations are considered essential by their states and they are operating at full capacity.

So what changes?

Spare Parts

Spare parts ship from our Whitinsville, MA location. We are working with the state to determine if we can have one person in the office once or twice a week to pack and ship spare parts. UPS and FedEx are still running, and we anticipate being able to ship. However, you may experience some minor delays as we navigate this new environment. Email [email protected] with any questions about your order.

Engineering

Our product engineers have taken prototypes and test equipment home with them. This probably will not impact you unless you live near one of them. In that case, we’re sorry.

Wherever you are, we hope you are staying safe and healthy!
