VF Series

An integrated line of products that meet all basic sound reinforcement application requirements. The series includes main channel systems, subwoofer systems and stage monitors.

Scalable and Complete

The VF Series two-way, full range loudspeaker system includes a directradiating, vented, 10-in LF cone transducer and a 1-in exit / 1.75-in voice coil HF compression driver loaded with a large, square, user-rotatable 90×60 coverage pattern horn built on the classic MK Series horns. These horns deliver exceptional high frequency dispersion, and their square shape lets users “rotate the enclosure around the horn” to maintain directivity in a horizontal configuration.

Processing VF Series

Because VF Series full range systems (VFR/VFM) use HF sections similar
to those developed for the MK Series, EAW engineers could employ the
same revolutionary “beamwidth-matching” internal passive crossover/
filter networks that set the MK Series apart from all other two-way systems. If powered by an EAW-specified amplifier or via a UX Series digital
signal processor, the VF Series can enjoy the benefits of EAW Focusing, a
technology that eliminates the anomalies inherent in the time domain
of any loudspeaker

Core technologies featured in the VF Series include:

Focusing
Use of advanced digital signal processing to perfect impulse response of a loudspeaker in the time domain. Eliminating horn “honk” and splashiness, the loudspeaker sounds more like a studio monitor than a “PA” speaker.
Beamwidth Matched Crossovers
Introduced over a decade ago for our MK series loudspeakers, EAW Engineers use carefully-designed HF horns and crossovers to eliminate polar irregularities through the crossover point.

Software tools

Every EAW product series works seamlessly with our array of software applications designed to make installation easier and sound optimization a more exact science.

EAW Resolution 2, for example, is a powerful and easy-to-use simulation software that accurately predicts the performance of multiple arrays within a venue. Driven by EAW’s proprietary F-Chart acoustics modeling software, Resolution is more accurate and powerful than previous generations of software by utilizing measured 3D acoustic data.

Output levels are displayed by varying color using a variety of methods, including 1/3-octave and broadband SPL, A and C weighted. The actual frequency response at any point in a venue can also be viewed. User-defined environmental conditions, specifically temperature and humidity, are factored into these calculations.

EAW’s Resolution 2 software allows you to accurately predict performance and optimize multiple arrays.
