Description

Each AC6 is comprised of six 6” woofers and thirty 1” dome tweeters mounted to a CSA waveguide. Each transducer is individually amplified and processed for an unprecedented level of control and clarity.

Adaptive technology allows vertical coverage to be perfectly customized to your venue across the entire 20KHz to 65Hz operating range resulting in even and musical coverage through the venue.

A modular design approach provides redundancy and full serviceability from the front of the unit making AC6 the easiest to service column loudspeaker available.

AC6 is designed to disappear visually while being rugged enough for portable use and carry an IP rating of IP54. All wiring is designed to be hidden behind the column and can be passed through to columns above or below it.

Coverage Control

Unlike competitors, AC6 does not utilize “beam forming” technology. EAW patented Adaptive technology allows vertical coverage to be precisely customized to your room and audience seating configuration resulting in consistent sound from the front to the back of coverage while keeping sound off reflective surfaces like walls and balcony faces.

Adaptive coverage is controlled through EAW’s award winning Resolution 2 software. When a computer is not available or impractical coverage presets can be recalled through the rear panel LCD screen and encoder or using the contact closures inputs located on the input panel.

Colors and Mounting

AC6’s powder coated aluminum chassis and accessories are available in standard black and white.

28 fly track mounting points provide quick and easy connection with EAW and third-party accessories. All EAW accessories are designed to be visually appealing and easy to install in a variety of configurations.

Weather Resistance

When used with the optional input and output covers AC6s is rated at IP54 allowing it to be reliably used in unprotected outdoor locations. Steel mesh and foam behind the grill combine to keep water off the transducers and out of the electronics. Conformally coated circuit boards provide an additional layer of protection.

Input Connections

Dante primary and secondary inputs with loop throughs simplifies high quality audio distribution to arrays of AC6 or other Dante enabled products. Two independent analog audio inputs with loop throughs provide input signal flexibility and fail-safe operation. AES/EBU digital audio input provides additional audio flexibility.

All audio, data, and power input connections are internally looped through to the top of the cabinet allowing for clean wiring when arrayed with other AC6.

Serviceability

The entire product can be serviced from the front with no need to remove the column from its mounting.

Redundancy

Each module contains the power supply and amplifiers necessary for two 6” woofers and ten 1” tweeters. This approach provides redundancy and ease of service.

Parallel

All three power supplies are in parallel allowing AC6 to continue operating even if one power supply fails.

Self-healing

If a transducer or acoustic module fails EAW’s Adaptive technology can self-heal around the failed component allowing operation to continue with minimal impact in the listening area.

Scalability

Up to 10 AC6 can be arrayed to form up to a 32 foot (10 meter) tall column. Optilogic automatically detects each module’s location and angle in the array significantly reducing setup time and opportunity for errors.

AC Mains Connection

Universal power factor corrected power supply for reliable operation on any mains source anywhere in the world.

Neutrik True1 Top power connector provides a locking low impedance connection to the mains source while a corresponding connector allows power to loop through to other AC6.
